Video editing📎

ffmpeg sometimes used to edit video.

compressing video output:

ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vcodec libx265 -crf 28 output.mp4

compressing video output, no audio:

ffmpeg -an -i input.mp4 -vcodec libx265 -crf 28 output.mp4

No audio, start at second 12, grab 10 seconds

ffmpeg -an -ss 12 -t 10 -i VID_20251207_044059.mp4 short/039.mp4

Join videos:

Make a file, mylist.txt, of form

file '001.mp4'
file '002.mp4'
file '003.mp4'

Run the command

ffmpeg -f concat -safe 0 -i mylist.txt -c copy final_video.mp4
